Welcome to my Knitting Blog!
Even though I have been knitting for over a decade, lately I have had the itch to be creative with my craft. I have recently experienced several knitting techniques I have never used before. I get a lot of enjoyment out of my knitting and often spend my lunch hour, immersed in a project.
This is mainly a forum for me to vent and discuss my ongoing "Knitting Adventures".

Glasses SUCK!!
Ok I am sick and tired of my glasses. I ran out of contacts (I've been wearing them since I was 13) and things are too tight to get more right now. Apparently after 10 years you forget how to wear glasses. I find myself getting headaches because I try to keep them from slipping off my nose by unconsciously holding my ears funny. (go figure)... plus you have to clean them all the time, or ignore the spots. Also I hate waking up and just seeing blobs (where my stuff was)...
My socks...
Ok Last night I decided that even though using an invisible cast on (in the round) for my new socks in the medium size took forever to do (at the knit in on friday) I decided that last night, while watching biggest loser, I would frog and redo them. in the medium the were not going to fit my foot so I said what the hell and cast them on in a size large. so now I am back and running with my new Opal Agean sock yarn. I am feeling like queen of the DPNs now :) I am using them for that baby hat (and I used them to cast on one sock at a time before transferring them to my long circular. I am just tickled that something i "didnt get" for so long is now comfortable. any way gotta go pick up the kiddies from Media Center (aka the Library for us old timers ha) (ps for those that dont know I substitute teach full time now).

Knitting with ADD so many patterns... so little time...
Ok ok I have a problem... haha I have 2 socks (that I think i should frog), seventy five percent of one baby bootie, and a baby hat to match the booties, and a chemo cap.
Ok as you can see from my ravelry page I was pretty far along with my baby cap, only to realize that it would probably only fit the head of a doll. :( so frogging began and now I am trying to catch back up. However I still have the photo before the frogging to give you an idea of what the pattern will look like.
P.S. Does the yarn look familiar ;) haha

Microspun... Not my favorite....
Ok so I tried Microspun for socks and I wasn't "feelin it" :) I got so frustrated with shredding and I was afraid that the socks wouldn't have any resiliency. So My brand new cool socks... became wrist warmers.
So I bought some new yarn for my socks and I decided to try my favorite bootie pattern in this beautiful blue and I found a hat pattern that also incoporates a ribbon so I am going to make a matching hat :) I dont have one specific for them but they are my favorite color and one day I guess they will be for my future child. :)
